August 22 brings the first and only Blue Moon of 2021, as well as the second Full Moon in Aquarius. This lunation is the second Full Moon in the month and falls exactly between the Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox, making it a seasonal Blue Moon.
The Blue Moon connects with Jupiter, who is retrograde in Aquarius, which will give us a practical way of thinking and processing our emotions. Jupiter is going to form a conjunction to the Moon at the same degree it was at in mid-April. This means that we are dealing with the second part of the story that began then.
The Blue Moon falls at the anaretic degree of 29 Aquarius. There is a tendency of rushing through emotions, feelings, and dealings with planets that fall at a late degree of a sign. The lesson is to slow down, rather than forcefully moving through the motions. The 29th degree marks a time of transition and change. Our souls are evolving, but it’s not going to be easy to move into a new phase of being.
The traditional planetary ruler of Aquarius is authoritarian Saturn, who is currently retrograde in Aquarius. The modern planetary ruler of Aquarius is revolutionary Uranus, who is currently retrograde in Taurus. Although these two planets are not near the degrees of the Blue Moon, it’s important to look at the dates of February 17 and June 14 (also, the upcoming date of December 24), when Saturn and Uranus squared off. This marked a time of resistance and rebellion. The tense energy from the connection of those two planets compounded with the past few weeks of Leo Season have been erratic and unpredictable. The Blue Moon is a big release of all the pent up frustrations and feelings we’ve had. Think of it as a detoxing and replenishing moment. Anxieties will still be high, which is why it’s important for us to be mindful of how we exert our energies and what we give light to.
The transformative theme of the Blue Moon aligns properly with the Sabian Symbol which is “Deeply Rooted In The Past Of A Very Ancient Culture, A Spiritual Connection In Which Many Individual Minds Are Merged Into The Glowing Light Of A Unanimous Consciousness Is Revealed To One Who Has Emerged Successfully From Their Metamorphosis.” Embracing our own radical views and sentiments will help us to create the emotional and spiritual life we want, as well as mend our pasts or have a different perspective about it.
Moments after the powerful lunation, the Sun enters Virgo and we begin a whole new journey around how we analyze matters. The Blue Moon gives us one last chance to wrap up the vibe of the past 30 days and heal.
1 cup of Epsom or pink Himalayan salt
2 drops of Eucalyptus Oil
3 sprigs of fresh Peppermint
1 White Candle
Write a letter of intention about a matter that you wish to take on and fix during the Blue Moon. Also, what you want to bring into your life. Cleanse your bathroom, add ingredients together, and place in bath water or use in shower (pour over your shoulders), and light the candle. Soak in a tub or stay in the shower for 20 minutes and meditate on your intentions, then air dry your body. The energy will be cleared and rest for the new astrological season ahead.
The first New Moon of the summer occurs today, on July 9th in Cancer. This luminary is asking us to embrace our amazingness and to own our power. The caveat is that we have to heal the past in order to create the present and future that we want.
This lumnation directly aspects the planet Uranus, which is currently in the sign Taurus. Emotions will be excitable, yet tender — particularly towards the way we care for ourselves. The fixed star Wasat aligns with the New Moon and pushes us to augment our pessimistic attitudes or feelings, due to the presence of Uranus, who serves as a transformative source of energies.
Chiron, the healing centaur, who is in Aries, will also lend its energy to the New Moon. This will bring unexpected and exciting emotions to the forefront of our hearts. It will urge us to discuss our sentiments with others, as well as make positive changes towards aligning ourselves with a higher vibration that can mend past wounds — even our emotional hurts that are ever present.
The days surrounding the New Moon heighten the Venusian energy in the sky. Saturn, Uranus, and Mars (in that order) will set off tender Venus. This will motivate us to understand that we can create the loving environments and relationships that we want. But, it starts with the relationship we have with ourselves.
The first step to attaining your dreams is believing in yourself. Without the confidence and affection we feel for ourselves, then we can hinder our desires from taking flight out of fear. Letting go of
Doing this luminary, it’s important to boost our self-esteem. Stating a positive affirmation in front of a mirror will allow us to inspire ourselves to believe that these sentiments are true (which they are). On a piece of paper, write down 5 positive and affirming statements about yourself. Repeat them twice a day at the same time for the next week while gazing at yourself in the mirror. The mirror will reflect the energy back to you and give you the strength you craze to create the positive mindset and confidence that we need to boost and heighten our inner vibration. Exhale and inhale between stating the affirmations out loud. You are exhaling the negative thoughts you have about yourself and inhaling the beautiful sentiments about yourself. Compliment yourself. Love yourself. Give yourself a smile.

This week brings the final intense pop of astrology in June. After this week, we can chill for a bit. The annual solar eclipse in Gemini occurs on June 10th, the same day Mercury retrograde links up with the Sun in Gemini. This will bring us clarity during the intensity of the eclipse. Action planet Mars enters fierce Leo on June 11th, making us fight for what we love. The Gemini Sun and Neptune, who’s in Pisces, square off on June 13th which will add confusion and delusion to our minds and emotions. Venus, who’s in Cancer, connects with Uranus, who’s in Taurus, on June 13th, bringing excitement to love and relationships. June 14th brings the second Saturn and Uranus square of 2021. The first aspect occurred on February 17th and the final connection will be December 24th. Saturn, who’s retrograde in Aquarius, will square off with Uranus, creating a tug of war regarding how we interact with authority. We are wanting to rebel, be truthful, and live our best lives. Unfortunately, Saturn is the wet blanket standing in the way. Hence, the tense astrological showdown.
Forming a deep connection isn’t taxing. But, keeping one is. Don’t avoid discussing your emotions with others. Getting your feelings out on the table may be helpful in mending issues and repairing relationships. When you do that, you will feel better having been open and honest about your heartfelt sentiments.
It’s time to buckle down and focus on work. As one of the most creative signs of the zodiac, you’ll have no problem bringing your latest vision to life. In fact, you’ll be grateful that you are able to be in a field that lets your artistry and talents shine.
Your anxiety may be at a high this week, which is why the only option is to pause and disconnect from situations in order to find peace of mind. Once you have a moment of chill, you’ll be able to make plans and move forward in all areas of life.
Tough love is hard for anyone, especially you. There comes a point in life where you have to start saying “no” to friends who are constantly asking for a hand out. Give them a hand up and don’t help them. It may seem harsh but it’s best thing for them.
Your ego may be slightly bruised, but only because you have put unrealistic expectations on yourself. The moment you start accepting and loving what you do have, rather than what you don’t, you’ll feel better about your current situation. You are an amazing person and should appreciate your own attributes.
It’s ok to be confused about what the next phase of your life entails. You do not have to make decisions right now. Instead of feeling pressured to make a move, use the energy to plan out the next steps of your life. This will set your goals in motion.
Connecting with a higher minded pursuit will lead you to a knowledgeable and conscious state of being. The caveat is that you’ll have a hard time asserting your recent education into reality, as you are becoming more mindful and philosophical. Use this as an internal source of inspiration to evolve.
Love is on the brain for most of the week. While you’re wanting to find ways to connect with your crush or partner, you’re also desiring freedom. Finding a balance between autonomy and commitment is hard, but doable. Yes, you can totally have your cake and eat it too now.
Relationships are hard and take a lot of patience (which you do not have a lot of sometimes). Slow down the way you react to matters to ensure that you are able to make rational decisions and not act impulsively. Then, you can make practical decisions about partnerships and friendships.
You’re wanting to implement boundaries with everyone in your life at the moment. The caveat is that you’re not the best at setting these limits into play. You may decide to dip out of communication with your family and friends for a minute to hit the reset button in relationships.
Finding a moment to yourself will be challenging this week, but it’s important to make the time to rest. Your mind is overactive, which is creating internal stress and drama to perpetuate itself. Relaxing is essential. If you’re feeling restless, then try a new restorative and rejuvenating technique to decompress.
When the chatter in your social circle persists, you should disengage and refocus the energy on yourself. Stop being a part of gossip and long winded discussions. These are only distractions from gaining success and winning at all you pursue. It’s not helpful and is energy wasted, not properly used.

June 10th brings the annual solar eclipse, also known as “the ring of fire eclipse” in Gemini. The annual solar eclipse occurs from the Sun and Moon’s alignment with the Earth permeating a sliver of light around the Dark Moon.
This luminary aligns with Mercury retrograde (who is the planetary ruler of the Gemini Sun and Moon). Elusive Neptune, who’s also in relation to Mercury retrograde, is making us emotional, paranoid, sensitive, and unable to see things clearly. Take a breath. Relax. Then, analyze the facts of the matter.
The tense energy is contagious and intense, we are all projecting our feelings. Like the game of Dominos, it’s making us all take out our moods on others until the last piece (or in this case person) falls. Instead of spreading drama and negativity, channel the energy differently and offer compassion to others.
This eclipse will awaken the argument between our heads and hearts. Which do you want to follow? Chances are, we’ll spend days debating whether to lead with intellect or emotions. The winner will be our hearts, as love always trumps all and wins.
Reflection and meditation is key. Mercury’s moonwalk will allow us to look back and take note about what we would like to change in our lives. This may give us the opportunity to forgive and heal our past.
Clearing the mind of negativity is hard. Disengaging with self-doubt and fear isn’t easy. Once we get to a place where we can think rationally without the outside chatter, we can make our innermost dreams come true.
Meditate on what energy you want to bring in. Now that you have let go, what do you want to add into your life? You can manifest anything you want as long as you are honest and truthful about your desires.
Think about former desires or old goals that have been on the back burner for years. They have the ability to come to life and become a reality at the moment. Getting clear on the vision will take reflection and meditation, but will come from the heart (which is why it will have the light and power to move forward).
The first total lunar eclipse since the winter of 2019 is occurring on May 26th in Sagittarius. The lunar eclipse will also be a Blood Moon as well, making it an energetically powerful time to connect with our intuition and emotions.
This lumnation is the closing story to projects, relationships, or situations that began in November 2019. Now that we’ve grown, it’s time for us to reconsider, revise, and alter the visions that began under the New Moon in Sagittarius on November 26th.
The lunar eclipse aspects Jupiter, who’s currently in the sign Pisces. Jupiter is also the ruler of the Sagittarius, the sign in which the lunar eclipse is occurring. The Moon will square off with the current sign that Jupiter is in, expanding our minds, philosophies, and understanding of matters. We are letting go of the old ways of thinking and replacing them with new ideas.
Contrary to popular beliefs, eclipses aren’t necessarily bad. They bring things that have been swept under the carpet to focus. Past resentments and arguments can resurface, as well as the need to fanatically express oneself. This luminary in particular could be fun and even lucky, as Jupiter is so tightly intertwined. The only foreseeable issue is that Jupiter can make situations bigger, which is not ideal. However, the energy is containable. Knowing when to check yourself and back off from a dramatic matter before it reaches a boiling point is key to ensure it doesn’t escalate, which Jupiter can do. We will have a roller coaster of emotions, most of which will be joyous.
Being that the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are tied up in a Mutable T-Square, this luminary will affect Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces the most (in different ways). The mutable signs will be pushed out of their comfort zones and forced to make major decisions about work, relationships, and family matters. It’ll affect the way they feel about themselves, because the eclipse will poke their egos. Therefore, it’s important for the mutable signs to focus on what they can do to better their personal situations before anything or anyone else.
The centaur Chiron, who is currently in the sign of Aries, is also active. Chiron is “the wounded healer who ironically could not heal himself.” Watch out for projections from others who do have your best interests at heart, but don’t have the best way of expressing it. This can be a healing time, which can bring enlightenment and positive emotions to us (if we opt to “live and let live” with others).
Mercury retrograde starts on May 29th in Gemini. We will be in the pre-retrograde zone during the eclipse. Be prepared for the past to come back. How we deal with it is all that counts. This can also bring a slow down in things from happening, which is why patience is essential.
The overall vibe of the eclipse is to exert your energies on yourself. You will be able to relish in the lunar potency and vibrations if you lean into honoring yourself.
Light a purple candle (the color of Sagittarius). Carve your name and birthdate or zodiac sign into the candle. Write down and journal how you have changed since 2019 and where you wish to grow. Meditate and reflect. Then release while exhaling. Bring in your goals while inhaling.

The Taurus New Moon that occurs on May 11th is a fertile time to our innermost plant dreams with the intention of making them a reality. This New Moon has the potential to bring our wishes to life, making it an energetically rich time to attain them.
This luminary is extremely potent for manifesting. Not only is it a New Moon, which marks a fresh start. But, the Sun and the Moon (who are both in Taurus) connect with Pluto (who is in Capricorn). Together, these three planets create a Grand Trine. This means that the desire to create, motivate, and inspire is strong. Add in dreamy planet Neptune (who is in Pisces) and we get an emotional, instinctual, and tender way in which our visions take flight. These planets will make the New Moon a super romantic and lovely time that will push us to align with our innermost sentiments, hopes, and fantasies. It also gives us the push for direction and incentive to bring them to life in the physical world.
The planetary ruler of the New Moon is Venus, who is currently in Gemini. Venus is riding along the North Node of Destiny, which means that the events that occur today are fated. The New Moon will expand our consciousness to many possibilities— many of which we didn’t even know were possible. Keep your mind and heart open when it comes to matters of love, money, friendships, relationships, and artistic endeavors. We are wanting to bring something big to the world now, that’s why this luminary is important. It will be the first part of the dreams we are crafting over the next two years.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is a “White Dove Flying Over Troubled Waters.” White doves symbolize peace and love, which is the message of this luminary. Aligning with our truest and purest spirit is essential. Honoring and acknowledging the song our hearts are yearning to sing is important.
Enjoy the lovely energy of this New Moon. Bring your visions to light! Manifest and grow your dreams!
