The first eclipse of the season is here and it’s occurring during one of the most celebrated times of the year. The Solar Eclipse is occurring on December 25th and 26th in the sign of Capricorn. This means it’s time to implement change and transformation into our lives.

Unlike other eclipses, this luminary is actually fortunate for us all (if we use the energy correctly). Jupiter will connect with the Dark Moon (AKA the New Moon) and add abundance to the overall vibe. Luck will be on our side, but only if we are ready and able to revamp the narrative of the past to create a bright new future. The South Node of Destiny is pushing us to release old and outdated views we may have, which will conflict with our need to reignite the past (which we can as long as there is a conscious effort to evolve). Uranus retrograde will add excitement and positivity to the luminary. It will give us a boost of confidence. The caveat is that the healing asteroid Chiron will be awakened in the sky and it will cause us to all be triggered by former memories or situations. Healing is an important part of this luminary. Luck will be on our side, but only if we choose to mend our hearts and use the past as a motivation tactic to transform our lives in the present and for the future.

The Sabian Symbol for the Solar Eclipse is “Others Perform A War Dance.” We may find that people do not want to accept accountability for their actions and are choosing to argue about their sentiments. We don’t have to engage with the drama. Remember, we have the power to create our own reality. We can choose peace. We can opt to step away from projections being thrown our way. We own our power.

Solar Eclipse: Ritual

Rituals help ground us. They keep us in tune with the rhythms of the universe. Under this luminary, it’s important for us to connect to the earth and to set an intention that promotes worldly desires. An example of such would be to create a financial plan or beauty regimen that aligns with your spiritual practice. As long as we are releasing an old pattern or way of thinking, we will be in line with the energy at play. It’s inadvisable to start a new project now, mostly due to the eclipse’s connection to the South Node of Destiny. However, it’s a great time to tweak certain situations, relationships, and circumstances.

Write down your intention on a piece of paper (what you want to revise in your life) and place it in a mason jar with soil. Cut holes in the top of the jar. Then, seeds in the jar so your vision can grow.

Bury the jar outside in the ground or keep by the window if you cannot bury it. Create Moon water by putting a glass outside or by the window in a jar to absorb the cosmic energy from the luminary. Every week you can add water to the jar or the place where you buried your intention for it to grow. Over time, with hard work and TLC it will come to fruition.

*The Solar Eclipse occurs on December 25 at 9:13PM PST and on December 26th at 12:13AM EST.
