ANYMORE PREMIERE
We are so thrilled to debut Brooklyn based Electro-duo Spirit Twin's “Anymore”, an Equator Productions short film directed by Anthony Prince.
This dark fantasy is narrated by the Tarot and follows the duo as they embark on a spiritual journey influenced by a magical potion and the encouragement of a few mythical forest beings.
“Anymore” is a story of awakening, rebirth and ultimately, a return to nature. We find Allen and Anna underneath the setting winter sun, brewing a magic potion to invoke Mother Earth. Almost immediately they’re separated and become lost in the chaos of their individual experiences, where they encounter mythical forest beings that both frighten and inspire awe. Tarot cards are used to give context to each character that they meet. Allen and Anna eventually find each other again at the foot of Mother Earth herself. There they are presented with a prophetic message and returned to their conscious state—awakened, enlightened, and anew. “Anymore” is a song that looks at the impact of the current state of our technology obsessed culture, where people are left less in touch with themselves, their physical connection to the world and the people around them.

Communion with The Spirits: An Interview with Anna of Spirit Twin
We had the chance to catch up and chat briefly with the lovely Anna of Spirit Twin to discuss the new film and some of the inspiration behind it's creation.
The Hoodwitch: There are many majestic themes throughout the film i.e nature Goddess, living tarot archetypes, potions, and herbs. Of course I have to ask, do you consider yourself a witch?
Anna: I would call myself a Dark Fairy that does "witchy" things. I do full moon rituals, have an altar, work with crystals, ect. The majority of Magic I practice is protecting and cleansing myself and my home as that's the most important to me. I also read Tarot and I am starting to learn the art of scrying as well.
How did you chose the tarot deck to work with for this film?
We used the Golden Universal Tarot Deck by Roberto De Angelis. The color scheme and the gold on the cards is actually what we based the coloring of the film off of. I really love the aesthetic of that deck.
What are some movies that you feel inspired your ideas for this short film?
Mostly epic fantasy movies from the 80's- Legend was probably the biggest for me. The set and costume design in that are incredible. Also The Dark Crystal, Willow and The Messenger-Joan of Arc.
