New Moon In Taurus
New Moon in Earth Goddess sign of Taurus is May 17th!
Use this moon for:
Scorpio Full Moon is a time of Death and rebirth (not necessarily physical death), intensity, extremes, and heightened sensitivity. It is good for focusing, being sexual, and also doing psychic work because of the deep emotions and desires Scorpio brings. Since sensitivity is heightened, this moon is a wonderful time to deeply connect and feel the Goddess, especially the dark Crone Goddesses. During the Scorpio full moon opinions and feelings are intense and penetrating. Strong desires, especially sexual yearnings , run deep with emotions at their peak.
Be cautious of emotional resentments, as this is a time where past feelings can surface and block your very heightened creative energy, so fight the urges to be suspicious, secretive, and moody. This is a time of regeneration, and cleaning out of emotional debris from the previous month. There is great energy to complete things and focus on certain areas that you have found yourself too scattered to deal with the previous cycle. Take the time now for sexual exploration, as well as relaxation.
Full Moon in Scorpio (Taurus Sun) rituals are high energy and psychic. The veil is thin between the worlds, so during your Scorpio full moon rituals the Goddesses joins the circle easily. Anything that you can do in the two to three Scorpio days for the region of the sexual organs has a doubly beneficial preventative and healing affect, as Scorpio rules the sexual organs. Anything that puts a heavier burden on the sexual organs and urinary tract has a harmful effect during this transit than any other days. If you are able to postpone surgery or operations on the sexual organs during this time, it is best. Expectant mothers should also be cautious to stay clear of any heavy strain/exertion during this time. As it is believed that miscarriage occurs easily during the Scorpio full moon.
These essences added to the bath or blended into massage oil have been said to put women in the mood, and the fragrance worn on a woman's skin serves to put men in the mood, or whoever you intend to attract.
Light a deep red candle and burn incense of or oil of Myrrh or ginger. Sitting in silence, breathe in the sign of Scorpio and place it in your heart center. visualize the color scarlet surrounding you, and breathe that color into your heart, allow it to fill you with stregnth, courage, intensity, and passion. Honor these powerful energies and ask that they be used to assist in the journey to transform lower nature into your highest good.

Which Goddess or Goddess Archetype do you most identify with and why?
I most identify with two Goddesses: Yemaya and Oshun. Seeing how I have a deep connection to water and aquatic life, it's befitting that I would see myself in these two Goddesses. Yemaya is the mother of the ocean. She invokes these feelings of self-acceptance, unconditional love, and nurturing for all. While Oshun represents everything I am now. She is romance, healing, magick (witchcraft), and beauty. Yemaya is who I aspire to be, Oshun is my present. Although, I don't see myself gaining Yemaya's maternal instincts anytime soon, haha!
How do you get in touch with/unleash your inner goddess?
Locking myself in the bathroom and taking long hot showers. Being in water, just opens this door within me that allows for my healing to take place. I'm pretty big on rituals nowadays so lighting white or blue candles and burning incense helps set the mood for my goddess to unleash. I can sit in the water for hours, talking to myself. Yes, I totally talk to myself just like everyone else. But it's more like I am speaking with my Goddess, my guides,my oracles, my mermaids, who are essentially within me. During these times, I hear their voices as if they are my own thoughts and it brings me clarity.
What is your Goddess superpower?
That's so hard, but I'll have to go with healing. Emotional and verbal healing. I've always had this ability to say the right words during the right moments, and in turn activating this spark within the people who listen. A spark that opens up something within them that's been closed for so long. I don't think there's a word for it but being able to speak these magical words that could help others. It's all the work of my Goddesses, speaking through me I suppose!

Name: Hasnaa At-Tauhidi
Location: Bay Area, California.
Astrological Sign/rising: Sun and Moon Pisces, Leo Ascendent.
Occupation: Currently I hold several vocations. I work at a non-profit, cultural and wellness center. I teach workshops about specific Spirit based wellness practices. I see clients one on one as a transformational visionary guide. Basically I help people awaken to their life's purpose, their pre-birth plan, and their soul lessons. I educate people about the intersection of karma, fate, destiny, past lives, soul contracts, universal law and how energy and vibration can be used to fulfill our divine plan. I make kits that include tools for vibrational attunement. I have a lot of different mediums but I work mostly with plant and earth medicine. That's the work that im blessed to do. My own pre-birth plan was to incarnate as a way-shower, to help the planet ascend into higher frequencies at this very important time in the evolution of the planet. My focus is on channeling ancient hidden wisdom, disseminating it, making it very tangible and accessible for everyone to integrate into their daily lives. So i'm also a writer.
Which Goddess or Goddess Archetype do you most identify with and why?
I definitely have resonated with Lilith for many lifetimes. Lilith is often depicted as a demon which is typical because there are so many situations where the person who is marginalized becomes demonized when the story is told by the oppressor. The myth of Lilith is that she was the first partner of Adam prior to Eve. Adam wanted her to lay beneath him during sex and she refused. She said, why would I lie beneath you, I am your equal. After she refused to become subservient to him she left the Garden of Eden(or was banished). For me Lilith symbolizes the very nature of Free Will. How despite fate, destiny and karmic bounds we all have agency in our lives, the free will to chose. She also symbolizes our shadow, the part of ourselves that we cast away, banish or withhold love from because it is deemed "unacceptable" by someone else's standards. She has been the goddess that I have worked with the most. However recently I began to resonate much more deeply with Sophia, the goddess of wisdom who is considered to be Gods bride.
How do you get in touch with/unleash your inner goddess ?
In my practice, I channel or invoke various Goddesses depending on the type of work that I am doing. If I am working with a particular goddess for a long period of time I will create an altar in her honor. Because I have my favorites, I have specific rituals that I have found work well with certain archetypal energies. For example if i am doing shadow work I will invoke Lilith. If I am doing creative work I will call on one of the Muses. It all depends on what I am using them for.
What is your Goddess superpower?
I always jokingly say that my superpower is charm. But I actually as a born Empath my superpower is Clairsentience, feeling other peoples energy.

When we do a ritual, we are both enclosing ourselves in the place between the worlds and we are entering the worlds to celebrate to heal and to make change. This is a simple candle ritual for letting go when it's time to say goodbye to the people, and habits that no longer serve our highest good.
A Full Moon that occurs between March 21, and April 20th will be in Libra. This year we will also experience a lunar eclipse taking place at the same time. A lunar eclipse happens only at the time of the full moon, when the Earth gets between the sun and moon and the moon appears to turn blood red at midnight. The total eclipse will last less than 5 minutes, making it the shortest total lunar eclipse of the century, according to EarthSky.org. It's the third in a series of four total lunar eclipses, known as a tetrad, over a two-year period. The fourth occurs Sept. 28.
Saturday, the total eclipse occurs just before 8 a.m. eastern time. Just after that, the moon will be full at 8:06 a.m. The first full moon of spring is known as the Pink Moon, Egg Moon, Grass Moon or Easter Moon.
with the moon in Libra focus on relationships, and artistic pursuits. All of your partnership activities will be heightened during this Moon. For those who are not in partnerships, there may be heightened feelings of loneliness, but be aware of superficial bonding to ease the pain/ fear of loneliness. The moon being in Libra it is an excellent time to throw a gathering or party because everyone will be extremely social and try to please and flatter each other. During this time, its important to find balance. Enjoy celebration with others, but also leave some time for healing work.
An excellent preventative measure during the Libra moon that we can do for our bodies and especially on our kidneys is drinking plenty of fresh water between the hours of 3 and 7pm in order to give the kidneys and bladder a good "rinse through". Nettle tea, is also a really soothing aid for the bladder and kidneys. Exercises for the pelvic region are also particularly beneficial at this time.
Stones: Aquamarine, Beryl, Bloodstone, Rose Quartz, Citrine, Orange Calcite, smoky quartz, and Amber.
The word Chakra means "wheel" in Sanskrit, there are 7 major energy centers in the human body (and hundreds of minor ones). Chakras receive, assimilate, and distribute energy throughout our energetic fields (auras). Each Chakra is unique as it has it's own characteristics and functions. These 7 energy systems resonate and vibrate at the same frequency as their respective colors of the rainbow, and are the network through which the body, mind and spirit, can come together. Your chakras are also energy vortexes (disc) that distribute universal life force energy throughout the body. This life energy is called "Prana" and flows down through the top of your head (the crown chakra) through your spine, to your pelvic floor (root chakra).
Our root chakra for example is represented as the color red, it is a very dense Earth vibration. Whereas our upper crown Chakra vibrates at the highest frequency. When energy flows evenly through each chakra we are balanced and able to achieve optimal health. Our chakras work together and when one becomes damaged, blocked, or overloaded the other chakras will try to compensate, which creates strain and suffering within the entire system. All of the components of our chakra system need to work together in synch with one another in order to maintain balance in our bodily and spiritual system.
I will share the Seven Chakras, color properties and their corresponding stones. Many books and searches on chakras, crystals and healing may have some conflicting information, I recommend doing your own research, and using which stones resonate best for your specific needs. I have also shared some of the characteristics of a healthy balanced chakra, as well as the characteristics of an imbalanced chakra center. "Chakra practices" are practical activities that can be done daily to help us reconnect, and re-balance the energy centers that may be imbalanced.
First Chakra: Muladhara (support)
Red is the symbol of life , strength, vitality as well as physical nature, our Earth connection and survival needs. Red will stimulate and is associated with heart, fire, anger, and passion. The red of terrestrial fire is transmuted into golden yellow (pure spirit) as it rises. Red is the color of primitive types. For healing red stones are effective in bringing healing energy in deficient nutrition, depression, or lethargy. It is a stimulating vibration. First Chakra Practice: Sit in nature, take your shoes off and let your feet sink into the grass, sand, or dirt. Plant a garden, do something that will connect you to the Earth.
Second Chakra (Svadisthana): 1-2 inches below navel or branching left side at spleen.
Orange is the symbol of energy, composed of both red and yellow. Red symbolizes personality while yellow is symbolic of wisdom. Which is why the integration of the two colors we are capable of overcoming anger and establish self control. For healing, orange is essential for health and vitality. It is a warm and positive color which is also stimulating and has been said to regulate the intake of food. The second chakra is about friendliness, creativity, self-motivation sexuality, emotions and intuition. Second chakra practice: Join a community group, try a new activity, do anything that involves water, and nurturing yourself.
Third Chakra Solar Plexus (manipuraka)
Fourth Chakra (Anahatha) Heart Center
The heart chakra is the center of compassion, when this chakra is open, you transcend the limits of ego and identify with other people, plants, animals and all of life. Green is the color of nature and offers us the balancing vibration of healing our nervous system. Green is radiated everywhere in nature, from plants, grass, and tress to blossoming new flowers it IS nature. The color green, and its corresponding stones do not excite, inflame, or irritate and because of this strong influence on the heart chakra working with green stones makes for excellent aid in heart problems, or blood pressure disorders. Pink stones also work on the heart, the color pink offers the healing of softness, affection, love. This is wonderful for those who would like to allow more softness into their heart centered meditations. Pink tourmaline, kunzite, and rose quartz are excellent in this case. 4th Chakra practice: Take yourself on a date, be romantic and kind to yourself. Volunteer in your community, forgive someone, more importantly, practice forgiving yourself. Reach out to those who are in need.
Fifth Chakra throat center (Visshudha)
The throat chakra is the place that helps you to communicate, express, and really listen to others when they speak. This energy center at your throat is the doorway to your angels and spiritual guides. Most communication is received through sight or hearing, but you can also receive information or messages that are harder to define. The blue energy of the 5th chakra is cooling, which can make you feel peaceful and relaxed. when you're at ease its easier to be able to hear what others are saying because it's easier to pay attention when you're calm. The sky blue energy will help you to feel comfortable speaking up and saying what you need to say. 5th chakra practice: Express yourself through art, write for yourself, and talk only to people who will truly listen to you.
Sixth Chakra: Third Eye (Ajna)
Your sixth chakra (third eye) is the center of your psychic powers and higher intuition. Through the power of the sixth chakra, you are able to receive guidance, channel and tune into your higher self. This is the energy center that allows you to experience telepathy, astral travel, and past lives. The color indigo symbolizes the bridge between finite and infinite. Your third eye is where you “see” the unseen, know the unknown, and feel what isn’t obvious. It is in this divine color ray of indigo energy that you can connect with the world of spirit. Placing a Lapis Lazuli on the third eye is a practice utilized by the ancients for this exact purpose, connecting to the divine. 6th chakra practice: Daydream, and visualize what you wish to manifest in your life. meditate and focus on the present.
Seventh Chakra: Crown (Sahasrara)
Your crown chakra is located at the very top of your head, and your higher crown chakra extends beyond the top of your head creating a glowing halo like globe that surrounds it. The Seventh Chakra is represented by the color of violet (spiritual mastery). This chakra corresponds with the highest element in our nature. Violet is also a high vibrational color, combining both red (matter) and blue (spirit). The crown Chakra is “to know” when healthy and opened we feel inspired, spiritually connected, and open to the divine. Clear quartz is one of the most powerful and effective stones to use at the crown chakra. You may also utilize an amethyst point or cluster on your third eye while laying down when you sit to meditate. 7th chakra practice: Ask for what you want, write down your intentions, connect with your higher power and write down all things good in your life.
Tarot can be a valuable ally as we celebrate important moments in our planet's yearly cycle. Becoming aware of the existence of special days and honoring them with tarot images as well as meditation we can strengthen our bond with our Great Mother.

Which Goddess or Goddess Archetype do you most identify with and why?
The Goddesses I most identify with are Hathor and Bastet. I identify with Hathor the Egyptian goddess of love and happiness because love is the medicine that heals the world and I want to embody that notion. I understand the feeling of being broken and swimming in your own murky tormented waters. I want to touch people in a way where they are healed from their own internal and external destructive struggles and I want to give them the power and strength to heal others just the same. I need people to understand that we can go through darkness and still maintain our inner light and love. The second goddess I Identify with is Bastet a protectress and the goddess of pleasure and cats whom is said to be gentle and affectionate but also extremely fierce and protective. In earlier days she was known for her fierceness and as time passed her gentle nature became more pronounced and she became a mother goddess. Her docile yet aggressive nature is something that resonates strongly within me. I wouldn’t be shocked if she reincarnated herself in my body to be honest. Hathor is the goddess who I look to embody while Bastet is the goddess who resonates with who I am.
How do you get in touch with/unleash your inner goddess?
I unleash my inner goddess to myself by writing and attempting to understand the world I live in while learning about who I am and my purpose in the world I live in, it usually happens at night, at my desk when I’m naked and full of wine. I get into touch with my inner goddess to the people (the separation is necessary) by making sure their voices are heard in a proper, proactive and productive light. I won’t stop talking, listening or observing till a person has figured out why they are here on their earth and what makes them happy. We get so caught up in pleasing others that we forget who we are and how we want to affect the ones around us. I’m tired of seeing people who are not full of light and spirit but are full of obligations, word vomit, foreign voices, sadness and ego. I want everyone to be free. This also usually happens at night when I am full of wine, and depending on who the person is I may be naked.
What is your Goddess superpower?
My goddess superpower are my eyes. As a little girl I never talked much, so I communicated with my eyes. I don’t have to say much for a person to know how I’m feeling.
Will You join us in the sacred twerk circle?

“A Goddess is the form that a feminine archetype may take. Goddess types represent models of ways of being and behaving that we women all share and recognize from the collective unconscious. In fairy tales this archetype may be revealed to us as a queen, a princess or a witch. Goddesses, as a feminine archetype, remain alive to this day in the psychology of women; and, depending upon which energies are more pronounced, influence her personality with a distinct character, a way of being, a way of relating in the world a way of offering her special gifts.” - N. Bennett
The Goddess manifests in many different forms, some of which shatter the stereotypes that are commonly associated with womanhood. Goddess Of The Week was created as a means to showcase in a down to earth manner women from many spiritual practices and all walks of life that are truly inspiring. Creatives making a difference in our world utilizing their gifts by tapping into the divine and sharing their skills with others. Which Goddess or Goddess Archetype do you most identify with and why?
From a young age, I have always been intuitively drawn and attracted to Egyptian culture (This is very evident in my work as a designer). Once I learned about Isis and her magical powers, and the fact that she birthed the Sun God It was a wrap, I was hooked.. As of recently, my Spiritual Mentor mentioned that she believes I am the daughter of Ochun (Santeria) the Oricha of Love, She is the embodiment of femininity with her sensuality and seductiveness.. I'm so down.
How do you get in touch with/unleash your inner goddess?
I am a very liberal and open person with my sexuality. I am very much in tune and aware of my feminine power. I feel as though my confidence as a strong and compassionate woman seeps through everything I do daily. That is Goddess power to me. Aside from that, I love to take baños. A little bit of sea salt, goats milk, flower petals, a sweet scent, and a prayer. I always feel so next level going to bed wearing all white..
What is your Goddess superpower?
Sweetness. You get more bees with honey..
Will You join us in the sacred twerk circle?

A full moon in Virgo offers us the energy we need to really clean up our act, and in painstaking detail. During this time it is important for the cleaning of our living & work spaces, as well as our bodies as each of these aspects are one in the same. A cluttered home/office often represents a very cluttered mind. Giving your space a deep cleaning, with some much needed organizing will set your mind free, and have you feeling light as a feather. This also includes the healing of our bodies, and digestive tracts. The particular force of the Virgo days makes itself apparent in the activity of the digestive organs. This energy influences the large and small intestines, the spleen, and the pancreas.
After the Leo party, the Virgo moon says it's time to turn our attentions to matters of our health and hygiene. Start this Full Moon morning off with a nice warm cup of lemon water to hydrate and flush out toxins that cause bloating/ constipation. Lemon Water is highly effective in alkalizing the body, as well as a gently detoxifying. Steaming, Hot Yoga, dry brushing the skin, or giving yourself a clay mask are also some easy methods to detoxify while utilizing the energy of this moon to nurture and care for our physical bodies.
Emotionally, during the Virgo moon women are mentally active but there is a tendency to excessive criticism both of oneself and others. Use this time to go inward, to reflect on our personal relationships. This Virgo moon wants us to be of emotional service, now is the time to offer this to others. Because there is more inward energy in the Universe now, Virgo full moon is not the best time for a ritual, unless it's a healing circle which would work just fine. Keep it small!
Named for Selene The Moon Goddess, Selenite crystals appear in many different shapes and color varieties. Clear or frosty, clusters, arrowheads, wands, towers, spheres these are all wonderful aids for meditation as selenite opens the passageway between spiritual wisdom and Earthly comprehension. The pure white light vibration of this stone is amplified during meditation and elevates the conscious mind, for some even claiming to access realms beyond the third dimension. Selenite brings clarity of mind, access to angelic consciousness, past lives, detachment of entities and mental clarity to reveal core issues to difficult situations.
1. Prepare for your selenite meditation by selecting a piece of selenite that feels size appropriate for you. Cleanse and bless your crystal, study the shape and layered formation of your crystal. Feel the inclusions that may be present within your crystal. Affirmations are also good to incorporate before utilizing this meditation, for more information on affirmations to use during your crystal meditations we have some available to you here.
2. Situate yourself in an upright position in a quiet dimly lit room. Inhale deeply through your nose and slowly exhale from your mouth. As you inhale, visualize golden/white light energy entering your nose, filling your lungs, chest cavity and heart center. allow tension, stress, frustration to be released, leaving your body through your mouth as you exhale. Continue your deep breathing until you feel relaxed.
3.Pick up your Selenite, place it in your left hand and place your right hand beneath your left hand and cradle your crystal in your lap. gaze at your selenite crystal and quietly attune yourself to the glowing white of the crystal. Slowly raise your selenite crystal to your crown chakra (top of head) allow the white light of the selenite to penetrate into the crown chakra.
4. remove the selenite from your crown chakra, and place it onto your third eye center for up to 5 minutes. While your selenite is positioned here, you may repeat a calming affirmation, or you may wish you calmly lay in silence and allow your mind to journey into light-mindedness.you might experience visions of distant lands, conscious channeling, or you might find yourself traveling through the cosmos or conversing with light beings. Individual results may vary, but for those who are diligent and patient selenite can open the door to enlightenment beyond measure which is why this is one of my absolute favorite healing crystals to work with.
5. when you're ready to end your meditation, slowly count backwards from 10, to 1. when you reach one, remain SEATED and DO NOT open your eyes.
visualize your feet as being the roots of a large tree, reaching through the floor and sinking deep into mother Earth. Attune to the Earth, hold this visual of yourself firmly planted and rooted back into the physical plane.Hold this visualization for 3-5 minutes. It is important that we ground ourselves back into the physical plane after our crystal meditations,to allow us feelings of well-being and security. Once again, slowly count back from ten to one. When you reach one, open your eyes. Breathe deeply several times, inhaling through your nosr and out through your mouth you will feel very relaxed, invigorated, and fully grounded back into the third dimension reality.
The Curandera is a short 7 minute piece featuring a lovely healer treating the children of her village all while explaining how she began her journey utilizing sacred plants and the traditions of her ancestors. The curandera/curandero dedicate their lives to the administration of remedies for mental, emotional, physical and spiritual illnesses based on their evaluations of their patients.
There are many different types of curanderas/curanderos. "Yerberos" are primarily herbalists. "Hueseros and Sobaderos" are bone/muscle therapists who emphasize physical ailments. "Parteras" are midwives. "Oracionistas" work primarily through the power of prayer.
Although many curanderas/curanderos do have a specialty and may identify with it, that does not mean that these healing modalities are necessarily strict and don't overlap. As an example, an oracionista may also be a powerful yerbera and so on. Elena Avila is the author of an excellent book on curanderismo titled Woman Who Glows In The Dark it is definitely a must read for anyone interested in the day to day practices as well as the history and traditions of a modern curandera.
