The Full Wolf Moon In Cancer

The first Full Moon of 2025 occurs on January 13th at 2:27 PM Pacific Time and 5:27 PM Eastern Time. The Full Wolf Moon In Cancer is a time in which we are going to evolve our mindset and hearts. Being that the zodiac sign Cancer is the natural ruler of the Moon, it is a moment to pay attention to our emotions and how we navigate our energy. Be mindful of who and what we give our attention to. We should help the world in all of the current crises sweeping through earth by dedicating ourselves to acts of service .

The Full Moon in Cancer focuses on transcendence and protection. Mars retrograde in Cancer, Uranus retrograde in Taurus, and Neptune in Pisces push us to take action. We are being called upon by the cosmos to contribute to relief efforts. All three of these planets are urging us to lean towards altruism and welfare. We shouldn’t hesitate to give and not be too proud to receive.

The asteroids Juno, Lilith, Eris, as well as the centaur Chiron and Black Moon Lilith aspect the Full Moon in Cancer. These astrological elements aim to intensify human bonds. These asteroids are allowing us to see how our actions have social impacts, how we learn from the past, and what changes we can make to how we live and care for others that will benefit everyone. Transformation is crucial because we live in a world that encourages us to give TLC and support to those we tend to unconditionally; however, many people do not adhere to that standard. Therefore, this is a moment in which we are all learning to give back rather than take — even if that means veering from the norm and taking matters into our own hands.

The fixed star Pollux connects with the Full Moon, warning us to use our power for a good cause. We have a choice to make about how we care and provide for ourselves and others. Rather than be manipulative, selfish, indulgent, or mean-spirited, it is important to give love, hope, and light to others and tenderness to ourselves. Nurturing the world through generosity, compassion, and acts of kindness is vital. Share your heart's sentiments and benevolence to create a more humane place for all. Now is the time to make a change and mark your place. Are you in or not?

Ritual:

With everything going on in the world and the current wildfires in Los Angeles, it’s vital that we all connect as a community and help others. No matter where you live, know that Earth is our home, and aiding its inhabitants is essential. Give your time and energy to humanitarian endeavors and support charities that assist those in need. We are stronger together.

Did you know North America is home to one of the rarest species of wolf? Red Wolves once roamed the eastern/southeastern parts of North America but are now only found in North Carolina. Centuries of persecution led them to be declared extinct in the wild but, thanks to the Endangered Species Act and many hardworking partners, Red Wolves roam the wild once again.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service currently monitors 16 Red Wolves across Eastern NC and the WCC is leading the charge to identify additional release sites.
