WHAT DOES THE FULL MOON IN CANCER MEAN, ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING?
The first Full Moon of 2023 is in Cancer, which means that is a big emotional release. We are letting go of old baggage as we mark our way into the new year. The Full Moon aspects Mercury retrograde in Capricorn, Uranus retrograde in Taurus, and the centaur Chiron in Aries. This is an opportunity to mend fences with others, heal our hearts, and make moves toward understanding ourselves on a deeper level.
WHAT RITUALS SHOULD YOU DO DURING THE FULL MOON?
Get your body moving! Pick your favorite song and dance to it. This activity will release a lot of pent-up energy in your sacral chakra. Dance slowly to the music to feel the rhythm and to connect with your body as well as the sensations of the music.
Let go of emotional baggage by writing or singing out your feelings. This way they’re out in the open and not holding space in your heart. It will make you feel energetically lighter.
Use this lunation as a time of self-reflection. Take a moment to look back and see the emotional patterns in your life. Cut the cord on these actions by making a list of what you want to change and burn it (practice fire safety rules) to release the past.
