THE SOLAR ECLIPSE IN SCORPIO
Astrology by Lisa Stardust
Solar eclipses are very potent New Moons. They occur when the Moon comes between the Sun and Earth, then casts a shadow over Earth. We are usually unable to see the Sun’s rays when this happens, however, this time around we will see a sliver of sunlight because it’s a partial solar eclipse.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THIS ECLIPSE?
The solar eclipse aligns with Venus, making it a passionate and intense lunation. With the Sun, Moon, and Venus connection comes favorable news in matters of love, finance, and creativity. The desire for harmony and unity will peak, as well as the need for peace.
The caveat is that Jupiter retrograde adds a lot of tension to relationships. The minor aspect can make financial issues greater or problems in partnerships appear more dramatic than ever. Try to focus on the positives in order to work with the positive side of this influence.
The asteroids Pholus, who represents chaos, and Juno, who’s the vengeful wife of Zeus, are in play. This energy brings out extremes and disorderly conduct between people. Therefore, we must keep our emotions in check and not pop off whenever we get irritated.
The fixed star Delta Boötis, also called Princeps, brings intense and obsessive energy. Be careful not to take issues or matters to a heightened level. If anything gets maddening or fervid, consider walking away to avoid the drama which could become extremely uncontrollable.
The lesson of the eclipse is to understand our personal power and limits. Rather than arguing and fighting, let go of the negativity. Remember, you can create your own narrative. Choose yours wisely.
